When I made our summer to do list, I had Labor Day in mind as our finish line. And guess what guys?! WE DID IT.
Personally, it kept me on my A-game as a parent. Instead of falling into the “lazy days of summer” mode, we got up and got out. We also did things we had never done before, like making pizza on the grill, or picking blueberries. We had a few parties on the patio, and spent a week in Grand Haven. We also had many lazy Sundays, popping popcorn and watching movies as a family. Oh, and we took lots of photos along the way:
And now I can officially say that I am over this humidity and ready for sweater weather, and pumpkin chai lattes. As H. Wolfe said: “listen, the wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves; we’ve had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”
