Well, guys, we did it! The first morning of school was a success! We got up and out to the bus stop with plenty of time to spare for pictures before the school bus came. Despite all the seasoned parents asking how we were doing, Dave and I managed to send Peyton off without shedding a tear. As the bus came, Peyton and her friend headed toward it, when Peyton heard London start to cry. London yelled, “Tintin!” (which is the adorable way she says Peyton), and Peyton came running back to give her a big hug and kiss, as Peyton’s friend jumped to the end of the bus line, while shouting, “NO! Peyton, the bus!!” It was a very dramatic 30 seconds.
Dave and I rewarded ourselves with a celebratory coffee run, and now, we are getting into our new groove at home. In true first-timer fashion, London’s only asked where Peyton is seven times 😉 we totally got this.
Happy Monday!!!
