London is 13 months old today!! She has lost the baby look, and traded it in for the toddler thing. She is always walking around, usually with juice boxes, listening to the word “no” (sometimes), and playing with Peyton more than ever. Most mornings, I catch Peyton in London’s room. The two are playing and throwing stuffed animals in and out of Lo’s crib. It’s seriously the cutest to see them interacting so well.
Of course, they do get into their little fights. Usually, it ends with London sitting on Peyton, while P screams for me to help her because she is “suffer-cationing”. London is a hoss. But she’s a hoss that loves her sister. Most times, I find them snuggled up on their little couch, and my hormonal little heart explodes. I just can’t wait for Lo to start talking, so I can eavesdrop on their conversations. Real talk.
As for occupying our little hoss, she’s into anything she can destroy. These blocks are perfect, because Peyton can build elaborate towers, and Lo can go Godzilla on them. London also received a Little People Play House for her birthday, and she loooooooves it. Like, she plays with it long enough for me to empty the dishwasher!
And onto Halloween! Just like last year, we are looking at bitter cold temps and lots and lots of rain. It’s actually been raining all week, which is so gross and NOT festive at all. Trick-or-treating looks like a no-go, but a little rain won’t kill our vibe. The township firehouse throws a party for kids. Lots of music, games, donuts, cider, and rides on firetrucks! What could be better?
Dave and Peyton are in cahoots to stress me out, and informed me (on Monday) that they want to wear different costumes, since “everyone has already seen our Alice in Wonderland costumes” and “what, like it’s hard to find a creative family costume the week before Halloween?”
Have no fear, I have a killer plan in the works 😉
Peyton’s last soccer game of the season is this weekend, too. I’m sad to see the season come to an end, but am super excited to have the whole team over for a post-season party! I already have her signed up for the Spring season. Soccer mom for the win!
And because I feel like it’s boring to have a post with no photos, here is super-festive London:
She is a model baby!!! And she’s growing up so fast! Have a safe and fun Halloween!
Thank you so much 🙂
