Halloween has come and gone, which means it’s November! I can practically taste Thanksgiving dinner now! We had a VERY busy weekend, and in true diva fashion, I think Peyton wore about eight different costumes. Fortunately, we have a pretty deep dress-up bin 😉 Here’s a recap of our weekend:
Friday was Peyton’s school party, she was Snow White (her current “second favorite” princess), after the party, we worked on our costumes for a 1st birthday/costume party that night. We went full-on under the sea with a Little Mermaid theme. Saturday, Peyton had her last soccer game, then we came home to feverishly work on yet another batch of costumes. It was freezing and pouring rain (typical Michigan Halloween), so we headed to the local firehouse for their little party. Peyton was Anna. London was Elsa, but hit her wall of patience, so she and Dave hung out in the car during the festivities. I decided to embrace the bump and really go all out for
“preggo-ween”. I was Miley Cyrus’ wrecking ball. Complete with half naked Barbie. After the party, we went out for pizza with friends. Peyton and their daughter (who was Elsa) ran around the pizza place – we were totally those people – but they loved getting responses from people who were eating as they bellowed “Let it Go!” Sunday, my little monsters woke up at the crack of dawn – because who needs daylight saving time?! – we made the most of our extra hour, though! We got all the Halloween decor put away, got Thanksgiving out, hardcore cleaned the playroom (and finally hung the last art pieces – stay tuned for an updated playroom post!), and stored all the patio furniture. Then had the soccer team over for a post-season party. Whew! Are you tired?? I am! Here are some snaps from the weekend:
snow white dress | gold headband | flounder costume | mermaid costume | crab costume | maternity leggings | anna costume | halloween pjs (last season, similar here)
As I was putting P to bed Halloween night, she asked me if Halloween was really over. I told her yes, and expected tears. Instead, she got really excited, “Does that mean I can wear Christmas jammies tomorrow night??”
Naturally, I said yes.
Happy Monday!
I love that Peyton had about a dozen costumes! How cute!
She’s a major diva lol don’t know where she gets it ????
