This weekend was the first major at the club, so Dave was MIA from Thursday-Saturday night. He did however manage to take 4th place overall! Golf is kind of his jam. I joke that I am a “golf widow” since he doesn’t do the whole hunting (deer widow) thing.
I am so not a golfer, but Friday night, the club does a Horse Race. I remember the first year, Dave was in the horse race and he called me to come watch. I asked if I should wear a hat and gloves, you know, go full-Derby. I got there, and to my surprise, there were no horses. Good thing I left my hat in the car! For those of you who are like me and have no idea what a horse race is, you can read all about it here. Basically, a few guys (horses) in the tournament are selected to play, then everyone else places bets on their “horses”, and everyone follows along in golf carts, drinking and smoking cigars. When it’s time to relocate the carts to the green, imagine a pack of golf carts (literally over 100) cresting a hill to the “dun dun dun dun” part of Beethoven’s 5th. It’s also great fun to get a good spot on the green so you can watch the putting, however, 4 carts got hit with balls this year. To me, this was the highlight of the horse race.
Dave and I watching the horse race. Again, I am wearing my extensions, and I got a lot of questions about my hairstyle, the tutorial I watched can be viewed here.

Saturday night was the awards ceremony, which meant they announced Dave’s name. So his night was made. We had an amazing dinner and danced to live music by the fire pits.
I did a fishtail halo braid Saturday night (again with my extensions), and I love any excuse to bust out the Valentino’s. (obsessing over this pair!!)
Some other highlights of the weekend included Lonon’s first time at a public park. Homegirl loved it and cried when I took her out of the swings.
Sunday, Peyton’s friend Mia turned 4 and had a pool party by the splash pad. Swim lessons are on our Summer To-Do list, so girlie had to wear a life jacket. She still had a blast! It was so fun seeing her reunite with her school friends, since she was done at the end of May.

I loooove the crop top outfit in the first photo! And your braid! Thanks for sharing the tutorial! Now I just need a pair of extensions!!

If its your first pair, definitely go with a cheaper pair, as they’re likely to get ruined quicker since you’re figuring everything out!! Bellami extensions are on my wish list, but I go through them so fast due to styling and the stress from braiding and ratting them that it just doesn’t make sense!!

Are the Valentino rock studs hard to walk in? Because honestly, Loubs are amazing, but I tried them on and literally cannot wait. Not worth the money to me if i am walking with a limp all night!!!! Please let me know! 🙂

Oh and Ps. Peyton looks like she is loving the water!! Good luck with swim classes!

They are actually really comfortable! I know the struggle of the loubutins is all too real!! I don’t own a pair, mostly for that reason! I have these mid-heel rock studs and the tall heels, they are both extremely comfy, and I wore both while pregnant! no blisters ever! Favoooorite shoes 😉
