London officially mastered the forward crawl. Last week, I joked about her skills when it came to backwards maneuvering. She’s having the last laugh now, as nothing is off-limits anymore. She has an obsession with one of our side tables, and the minute she is on the floor, she’s on her way to it. I’ve caught her laying on her side, sucking on the leg twice today. Kids, I tell ya.
Peyton received a braid book for her birthday, and we have been having so much fun experimenting! I love that she holds still! I (finally) learned how to french braid!! It’s the little things, guys.
We are also obsessing over the mini hair bows and crown clips from Nabi Style on Etsy!
Spring also means peony season. My grandmother had a yard full of peony plants, when my mom and dad got married, they got a bush, which quickly became many bushes. When David and I got married, we also received a peony plant. Three generations and a move later, they are giving gorgeous yellow blooms!
I love them too much to cut them and bring them inside, especially after not having them planted last summer due to all the landscape work, so it’s weekly trips to the market to get fresh cut peony for me. Not even a little mad about that 😉
We also missed out on grilling season last year, since the patio/outside kitchen weren’t completed. I have been combing the internet for fun recipes to try. Dave and I made these spicy pineapple and chicken kabobs last night AND THEY WERE AMAZING.
I am also planning on this easy lemon salmon kabob dinner, and I think I finally came across the secret to perfect grilled asparagus!!
We have been slowly finishing the play nook for the girls, and are still waiting on some killer built-ins, but in the mean time, how adorable are these canvases? I was beyond excited when Stop Growing Up approached me! I love the freedom of a digital print; you can put it on any medium you want, as many times as you want! And I looove how a canvas looks on a wall, as opposed to a framed and matted photo (not to mention it’s cheaper!!) You can pick up the ABC print here, the Pslam here, and the You Are So Loved here. I have big plans for the Psalm canvas, so stay tuned for that! And I plan on gifting one of the Alphabet canvases to an expecting friend! (I am also obsessing over this girly alphabet one!!)
And with that, nap time is over, and I need to go save that table from London 😉

Those chicken kabobs look amazing!! You use the metal skewers? Do you like them
More than the wood ones? And peytons hair is sooooo cute! I need that braid book in my life!
Jenna says
The wood ones need to be soaked like 30 minutes prior to being used and I’m bad at planning lol plus Dave likes the metal ones more and he’s the grill boss 😉
And thank you so much!! We love the book p

My wife and I love your granite countertops and are in the middle of a kitchen renovation. What is the name of that granite and where did you find it?
Jenna says
Hi! Thanks so much! We got it at a local granite store. The name is Fantastic White, unsure the brand/company, but if you’re working with a designer, im sure they could help you look it up! Good luck with the Reno!!
