Father’s Day weekend over here was a fun one, but a busy one. Not only was David in a golf tournament, but we had a wedding reception Friday night, which left very little down time. It was also miserably hot – like, low 90s hot. Since David was in the tournament, he was gone most of Thursday and all of Friday and Saturday; I am not brave enough to take all three girlies to the pool by myself, so I improvised. I filled up a rubbermaid container with water, and tossed in a handful of the girls’ bath toys. Peyton told me it was, “the best I idea I ever thinked of!” We upgraded to their splash pool, which miraculously survived being stuffed into a rubbermaid all winter, and didn’t mold! Winning!
Saturday night, was the tournament awards dinner, David and his partner took second overall! He topped his Father’s Day off with a daddy-daughter golf scramble, where he and Peyton took first place!
Addy also took her sitting to another level, by sitting unassisted multiple times throughout the weekend. All the mixed feelings about this! She’s so happy sitting up, and playing with her sisters, but what happened to my sweet, little baby Adaline?? I swear she was born a week ago, right?
David spent his weekend doing his two favorite things, spending time with his girls and golfing. And judging by how exhausted he was last night, he had a blast! We are so so so lucky to have him in our lives; he truly is an amazing husband and father! So, David, Happy Father’s Day everyday 😉
