I recently got the Ninja Storm and it was love at first sight. Originally, my intention was to make all kinds of tasty smoothies, sauces, and soups… but halfway through my maiden voyage with it, my recipe started to sound a lot like a margarita. The obvious decision was to add tequila and turn my Spicy Pineapple Recharge Smoothie into a Spicy Pineapple Margarita.
In my defense, aren’t most things a little more fun with tequila? 😉🤪
Turns out, it was pretty tasty! The sweetness of the fresh pineapple paired SO well with the ginger and the heat from the jalapeño pepper. The best part? We could totally lie to ourselves and say it was a “healthy” drink! A total win-win!
The Ninja Storm is on major sale at HSN right now! It’s under $30 and comes with the recipe book! Shop it here.
Today, I am going to share the recipe for my Spicy Pineapple Margarita, which is an adapted version of the Ninja recipe for the Spicy Pineapple Recharge… with a tequila twist! Ole!
Spicy Pineapple Margarita Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 3 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- 2 limes cut in half and peeled
- 1 jalapeño (or half, to taste), seeded
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 cup tequila
- 2 cups of ice (more if desired for consistency)
Recipe:
- Prepare all your ingredients: seed the jalapeño, peel the ginger and limes.
- Place all ingredients into the Pitcher, in the order listed.
- Pulse until smooth, using long pulses.
- Add more ice if a more frozen consistency is desired.
This recipe is ready in 5 minutes, and makes about 5 glasses. We garnished ours with some fun drink umbrellas and a pineapple chunk, but a salted rim would also be a fun addition.
Right now, the Ninja Storm is available at an amazing price on HSN! It’s only $30 through the end of May! This is an awesome price, and it’s not available in these cute colors right now anywhere else!
I was also VERY impressed with how easy it was to wash. There aren’t a million parts, and it’s very lightweight.
^ Dave let me have the first sip to “make sure it was ok” 😂 It got 2 thumbs up!
This Spicy Pineapple Margarita recipe would have been great for Cinco de Mayo, but also works for any happy hour session! We also did try the regular Spicy Pineapple Recharge (recipe in the Ninja Storm booklet), and it was really good! If tequila isn’t your drink of choice, and you’re more of a white wine fan, then be sure to check out this fun white wine slushie recipe!
Happy mixing!
