Faith-based reading and activities are important to us. With church service closed until further notice here, we are thinking outside the box to stay rooted in faith, while also engaging the girls. Anyone else struggling to find engaging and creative ways to keep their kiddos entertained while we navigate this “new normal”? You’re not alone!!
Since it has warmed up a bit here, the girls and I have been spending more time outside. One of our favorite things to do is get our pajamas on, and cuddle up to read by the fire pit outside or taking our coloring session outside to enjoy the sunset! It’s the little, peaceful, in-between moments like this that I live for!
has a fun selection of activity and coloring books from The Beginner’s Bible and The Berenstain Bears, in seasonal and non-seasonal — making this the perfect time to stock up for families that are now at home! London and Adaline love the The Beginner’s Bible Super Duper Mighty Jumbo Coloring Book. With 384 pages, depicting favorite Bible stories and characters from The Beginner’s Bible, this coloring book is a fast-favorite.
Coming in at 382 pages, The Beginner’s Bible Super Duper Mighty Jumbo Activity Book is hours of fun. It’s perfect for ages 3 and up, and I love how it is full of faith-based activities and games the girls can play together. I absolutely love how this activity book also sneaks in math (but in a fun way, so your kiddos likely won’t even notice they’re “working” as they play!). With patterns to complete, missing numbers to fill in, mazes, and letter-tracing, there are so many reasons to love this activity book — as a parent AND as a child! We also love how the activities & coloring pages follow right along with the bible stories we are reading in The Beginner’s Bible!
Peyton loves to draw, so I knew You Can Draw the Berenstain Bears was going to be a hit! I don’t know about you, but I grew up on The Berenstain Bears, so it warms my heart seeing Peyton love them, too! The clear, kid-friendly drawing instructions come straight from Mike Berenstain himself. Throughout the book, you get to learn special details about the characters and their personalities, like specific accessory choices and what they like/don’t like.
is making things extra easy for us (likely stressed-out moms), and also has a like: parent teacher guides, activity kits, coloring pages, reading resources and more! I also love that these activities are all faith-based. These are great additions to reading your along with your favorite titles. Pro tip: Parents, you can download the resources for free for extra reading discussion and activities at home! Talk about a Mom Win!
You can read why a bit more about all the reasons we love The Beginner’s Bible in a blog post here.
