With the holiday season fast approaching, I am getting so excited for a few of our favorite traditions. Giving gifts is, by far, my favorite. I love thoughtfully shopping for friends and family, and then festively wrapping them up! Dave always teases me about the wrapping paper standards. Black, white, and gold. I get so excited to pick everything out each year, and use unexpected items in my wrapping – like chalkboard wrapping paper, bells, and feathers!
We also love singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs. Last year, the Pentatonix Christmas songs were on repeat throughout the season.
We love cozying up by the fire to read our favorite Christmas books, or to watch Christmas Vacation, Elf, Prancer, or A Christmas Story which are our top 4 holiday movies.
We love building the most epic sledding hill on the side of our house, with buckets of water. You know – to make it louge-like!
We love driving to the local ballpark to see the big light display they do there each year.
We love doing our Advent Calendar and celebrating Saint Nicholas Day.
The family parties, the Santa Brunches, and class parties are all so fun for the kids.
The matching Christmas jammies make my heart do backflips. Take a look at the Dear Deer collection from Hanna Andersson, it is so cute!
You can check out all of the Hanna Andersson matching family jammies here.

Do you have a good advent calendar you use?
Hi! Yes, it’s a few years old, but I found one on eBay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F182896211627 the doors are a little small, but we do little activities written on paper, so it’s perfect for that!
You guys are family goals!! My hubby would NEVER wear matching pjs! Ha!
Hahah mine is SUCH a trooper!!
What is saint Nicolas day!!!?
Oh gosh. I grew up in the Catholic School system, and it was something we always did. Eastern European history, where Saint Nicholas would sneak into poor peoples houses and leave them money and food in their shoes. We leave shoes out by the tree, and he fills them with little toys and candy 😉
Love this list! So [email protected]
Happy Holidays!!
This is so fun! love the PJS!
