Weekend Happenings

Compared to the last few weekends, this weekend was boring. But it was much needed. The weather was amazing, and we spent the greater part of both days watching football out back, on the patio. I could handle weather like this year-round.

We also celebrated David’s birthday yesterday! He had on request: enchiladas for dinner, so I made it happen (you can find my recipe here), and we ended the night with his favorite dessert: strawberry cheesecake. A few important notes: Have you been to Target recently?? They have all their Christmas goodness out – and despite David’s strict “no Christmas before Thanksgiving” policy, I’ve hit up the dollar spot for a few goodies. I’m also eying this pom pom throw blanket (which is on sale now!) and this mercury glass tree.

Speaking of the holidays, I picked up this cook book last week. It’s a great coffee table book, but also full of all kinds of great recipes to try this holiday season!
