YAY! It’s officially the un-official start to Summer! This might have been the hottest Memorial Day Weekend ever. With each day in the mid 80s, there was nothing to do except hit the pool or head to our friends’ house on the river. Saturday and Monday, we kicked it poolside. The girls surprised us by lasting HOURS. The original game plan was to stay an hour or so, or until someone lost their shit. David took Peyton golfing for her first time early Sunday to beat the heat, and she could not have been more excited. After nap time and a quick lunch, we headed to the river for a sandbar party! Consider this a PSA: there’s a Pandora station called Summer 2000. You’re welcome.
The days were hot and long, we grilled out every night, and everybody stayed up a bit too long past their bedtime. And, like all the best weekends, we ended it with an ice cream run with some of Peyton’s girlfriends. Her cheeks and nose are covered with freckles, and luckily enough, none of the girls got sunburned over the weekend! 
And a special shout out goes to the poor woman who brought her tiny dog along with her to get ice cream. She wasn’t there 30 seconds before London started pointing and yelling, “DOGGGGIE!” and all the girls were swarming her.

Today is feeling entirely too much like a Monday! This week is a short, but busy one! Peyton’s last day of school is tomorrow!! And the first, big golf tournament of the summer is this weekend! Send me coffee and good vibes to make it though 😉
