We are a reading family. From stories before bed, to stories for “quiet time”, and even Adaline can be spotted thumbing through a book, telling herself her own version of the story based on the photos. When I heard about the Vooks App, I was so excited to download the app and show the girls. Vooks is a new streaming service that has a huge selection of animated storybooks. Vooks is subscription-based and offers safe, educational screen time — and the best part? There are no ads!
When I was telling David about Vooks, his first question was, “But does it have ads?” After a few scrolls around the platform, David and I were both in love!
Vooks combines the love, trust, and safety surrounding books, with the convenience and availability of streaming. I think my favorite moment all week was when I looked over, and caught Adaline and London, snuggled together on the couch, with the Vooks App. They were both repeating the words as they were read aloud!
The Vooks library has so many of our favorites like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Extra Yarn, and Goodnight Gorilla – and the Vooks library is always growing. The app is easy to navigate, with different categories like: New Releases, Popular Titles, and Bedtime. There are also different categories for your child’s interests (ex. Vehicles, Little Princess, Animals, and the Classics). All the stories are read aloud, have super cute animations, sound effects, and music. It’s a very fun and engaging way to see our favorite stories come to life! The words are highlighted as they are read, so the girls can follow along as the story is read!
If you’ve been reading this post, and nodding your head because you need the Vooks App in your life (or on your tablet), then have some exciting news! Vooks is giving every parent or guardian in the US FREE 30 day access (normally $4.99/month). Now is a great time to take advantage of this offer and try Vooks!
