NSale: 2019 Nordstrom Preview

Guys!! NSale week is here!! Can you believe it’s time for the 2019 Nordstrom Sale?! I put together a few items that are high on my wishlist, and am so excited to share them with you, as well as a bit of info about the sale!

What exactly is the Nordstrom Sale, and why is it such a big deal?

The Nordstrom Sale is unlike most sales – in fact it works the opposite way. Most sales feature end-of-season leftover items that have been picked over are marked down, but for the NSale, brands and designers launch new merchandise for fall at sale prices.

Some designers even include exclusive pieces for the NSale. Items start on sale for a selected period of time, and then prices go back up in August, after the sale. People (myself included) usually buy now and wear later!

When can I shop?

This year, Nordstrom changed things up on us! If you’re a frequent shopper of the NSale, you’re used to setting an alarm, and shopping at the wee hours of the morning – but not this year!

If you are are a Nordstrom cardholder, and have the “Icon” or “Ambassador” level, you can begin shopping the sale in stores on July 10, and online on July 11th at 12:30pm EST.

The rest of the Nordstrom cardholders can shop from July 12-18. During this time, ONLY Nordstrom debit or credit cardholders can shop the sale. This is important because items usually sell out quickly and you get the first pick, so your size is almost always guaranteed to be available. If you want to shop the pre-sale, you can sign up for a Nordstrom credit card here. It can take a few days to process a new card, so if you want to shop the Early Access Sale on July 12th, you should go ahead and sign up today!

The NSale then opens to the public on July 19th, and prices go back up on August 5th.

What do I need to buy?

The NSale is a great time to stock up on basics for fall – like over the knee boots, ankle booties, cardigans, denim, and coats! As mentioned above, this is a good time to shop now, and wear later. Cardigans and boots tend to sell fast, whereas the beauty/home products stay stocked longer.

It helps to take a look at your closet before the sale. Do you need a new pair of boots? Are you in desperate need for a new North Face jacket? Time to splurge on a new Tory Burch bag? That’ll help with your priorities so you have a game plan when you shop!
