I have made peace with the fact that Summer is over. September is kind of a weird month, where I am hanging onto summer nights and trips to the beach, but also SO excited because once Fall hits, it’s holiday central. And you know we love holidays over here! I put together a bucket list of our favorite family-friendly fall activities and traditions:
If you’re looking for more Fall Fun and activity inspo, check out this Bucket List post from a few years ago!
We always make going to the apple orchard a priority in September. The girls have a blast picking apples, and I’m pretty sure nothing rivals the taste of a freshly picked apple!
Dressing festive is mandatory for any and all holidays in this household!
Baking tasty fall treats is also a major priority over here 😉 You can find my mom’s apple crisp recipe here (spoiler alert: it’s AMAZING), and my pumpkin spice no bake cookies here. Oh, and don’t forget the best pumpkin seed recipe!!
September = apple orchard, but October = pumpkin patch! We have a cute little farm stand on the corner, that goes all out with a hay maze and slides for kids, as well as the best donuts ever. Oh, and pumpkins the size of your baby 😉
And my favorite part? Decorating!!! I love finding festive mums and stacking heirloom pumpkins on the porch. Inside? All the paper bats and faux spider webs!!
Ok, I lied before. The costumes are my favorite part. I start planning in July, and start creating in September. (I got a head start this year with my trusty hot glue gun!) We love getting creative with family costumes. Here are some of our favorites:
Do you have any fun, fall family traditions? Say that five times fast 😉
