This weekend, we celebrated Peyton’s 7th birthday with a spa party! Throwing a smaller party was such a welcomed experience, compared to her last few birthday parties!
Peyton chose to invite two of her best friends from school, and they celebrated with manis and pedis, monkey mask facials, and made their own bath salts. When they first arrived, their seats were marked with their own robes, which were a party favor. Then, they decorated their own spa flip flops with gem stickers – you know, the felt ones you wear when you get a pedicure! Pro tip: I cut them down with scissors to better fit the girls’ feet. The party was complete with a season-your-own popcorn bar, provided by Kernel Season’s!
The girls had a blast picking different combinations of seasoning blends and snacking while they waited for their toenails to dry! You all know my favorite is caramel corn or kettle corn, but I loved seeing the girls’ unique blends – like butter and nacho cheddar, or white cheddar with garlic parmesan! I got a text from one of the moms after the part, complimenting the treat bags, and thanking me for the popcorn seasonings (since she would be testing them after the kids went to bed!). You can find Kernel Season’s at Walmart. Fair warning: the caramel drizzle is addicting!!
For the DIY portion, we mixed unscented epsom salts with soap colorant and essential oils. This was by far the girls’ favorite part – right up with the hair chalk!
I worked with Little Paper Farm for the custom banners, and was BLOWN away. She took my vision and made it 10 times better than I could have imagined. She even included some little nail polish “confetti” that we scattered on the table.
For the goodie bags, the girls each kept their robes and flip flops. They also took home a set of Kernel Season’s mini bottles, a hair brush compact, lip gloss, a bath bomb, and a nail file/toe separator set.
Seeing Peyton’s giant, toothless grin, with her blue hair as we all sang happy birthday to her was the icing on the cake for me! (and let’s talk about that icing! I roughly followed this recipe!)

What a great theme party for little girls. As you know little girls always are so curious and wanted to imitate what we, adult are doing, be it mani or pedicure. This will satisfy their curiousity and at the same time make them very happy.
