Peyton’s Sixth Birthday!

Peyton turned six this weekend, and we celebrated our birthday girl with a Shopkins themed party! Her friends from school came, and spent the majority of the day running around in the woods, but managed to start a mini riot when I was lighting the candles on her cake. They started chanting, “set it on fire!” over and over again. Honestly, I had never been more terrified of six year old girls!! They also started a “kill it!” chant while they were doing the piñata, and Dave (bless his heart) tried chanting “break it!” over them, but that just made the girls louder. If you watched my InstaStories, you probably had a good laugh at the little girl who went full on Fight Club with the piñata, and finally broke it open. The rain even held off until the last few party guests left!

For those of you who asked, yes I did make the piñata on my own. It actually was pretty easy! I roughly followed this tutorial. But I used WAY too much tape, and it took forever to break open. I did make sure to have a photo with it, before the girls attacked it!

We had the absolute best day celebrating our sweet Peyton! She is my little mama, and really is the most caring when it comes to her two sisters. (although, I do sometimes have to tell her to stop carrying Adaline around!). She’s a funny, creative girl, whose little jack-o-lantern smile can light up a room. And I just cannot believe my first baby is SIX! Happiest Birthday, Peyton Elise!
