Our sweet, little Adaline is FIVE months old. She is scooting, rolling, and sitting, which is so insane to me, since it still feels like she was just born! Hard to imagine that next summer, she will be keeping up with her sisters!! similar outfit | bow | sticker
Her personality is so different from her sisters. She is such a laid back baby, probably because the poor thing was dragged to pre-k drop off and swim class when she was just a week old – or bundled up and stuck on the side of a soccer field at 8am in the early spring. She is also hands-down our best sleeper yet. She was in her own room, in her crib at one month. (which makes me totally regret buying this really cool bassinet!) We lay her down at night on her back, after she drinks a bottle, and she’s up once between midnight and 1, and then wakes up around 7am – almost always on her belly. Most mornings, I hear her cooing and squealing to herself. I always remember London waking up pissed off and hANGRY!!
Addy has no interest in baby food or mushy grown-up food, but loves her bottle, and based on her chubby cheeks, and thigh rolls, she’s doing just fine 😉
Adaline could sit all day, in her rocker, and just watch her sisters play. She loves to be held, but the chaos of having an active 5 year old and a toddler sister can be demanding, so once her sisters go to bed, Addy gets her special one-on-one time. Generally, we sit outside by the koi pond. Addy loves to listen to the water, and see the fish jump, and more often than not, falls asleep in my arms!
I think that’s made the transition from one kid to three kids in 2 years “easy”. I don’t think “easy” is the right word at all – manageable? doable, maybe? Somedays, we still feel like we are in survival mode, but being able to spend a little alone time each day with each kid is something that is so special!
Anyway, aside from lots of coffee and hugs, here are a few of the daily things we use to make life with this lady a little easier. Simply click on the each photo to see more!
