Adaline is TWO months old. When did that happen? She’s looking more and more like London, and how alert she is, is just incredible. Addy is probably our easiest baby (knock on ALL the wood), but she loves bath time and is already sleeping in her own room, downstairs. She wakes up to eat twice throughout the night. After going down around 10, she is up at 2:30, 4:30, and then up for the day around 7! Each time she’s up in the middle of the night, it’s a quick diaper changes, 4oz of formula, and she’s back to sleep. She’s making P and Lo look bad 😉
Somebody on Facebook asked me if she is always this happy, and honestly, no. But the majority of her day is spent giggling, smiling, and gurgling. When she’s upset, it’s generally because she is hungry or wants to see her sisters. She has such an easy temperament, and loves when London holds her on her lap (very supervised!) or when Peyton gives her a bottle.
She is a bit over 10lbs, and 21″, and just look at those cheeks and gummy smile!
I have picked a few of our favorite products that have made getting to the two month mark easier:
sleeper | toy | bumbo chair | swaddle | angled bottles | bottom wash | tights | baby wrap
The sleep and play outfit is great for during the day, since it’s still pretty chilly here, and it’s so easy at night, just unzip and change her! I love to add bright tights under a onesie, 1) because it’s still cold, and 2) because it’s so darn cute! I love these striped tights and these little ballerina tights!
The Bottom Wash by the Honest Co is nice for messy diapers, when a bath right away isn’t an option. Fortunately, Addy hasn’t had too many blowouts, but she’s had a few gems. Just a spritz of the Bottom Wash, and a quick wipe off, and she’s fresh and clean.
Swaddle blankets are a must. I use them everywhere: in the carseat, in the Rockaroo, on the floor, etc. I also am obsessed with these bright ones and this poppy print is in the 2 month photo above! The Solly Baby Wrap has been a life saver, especially at the Easter Egg Hunt, and around the house when dinner just can’t wait.
I know there’s some controversy around the Bumbo Floor Seats, but honestly, we used it with each of our girls, and never had an issue. We couldn’t use it very long with Lo because of her thighs, but it was great when we were starting physical therapy for her torticollis (since it kept her head off the ground!). We put Addy in it this weekend, just for fun, and she immediately started smiling and gurgling. She just loves to be upright. She supports her head VERY well, so I wouldn’t recommend you try it early if your baby doesn’t fit into the “supported sitter” category!
Addy as spitting up a lot when we brought her home from the hospital, and that’s never fun for anyone. After experimenting with a few bottles, these ones made the biggest difference. Something about the angle and the vent? All I know: my baby is keeping her food down AND I don’t have to do 30 loads of laundry each day. Thumbs up!
