Another First Holiday has come and gone – I think Addy is an Easter fan for sure! Saturday was the neighborhood Egg Hunt. It went so well, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather for it! As I predicted, it took about an hour to set up (not counting all the time it took to stuff all 350 eggs), and the kids collected every egg in less than three minutes. It was insane, in the best way!
Peyton woke us up Easter Sunday to let us know the Easter Bunny had come to the house and had presents for her, London, and Addy…but none of us 😉 We got dressed and ready, and headed to brunch at the Country Club. The sun was out, and it was warm enough to ditch our coats before hopping in the car. My parents, Dave’s dad and friend, and my brother and his girlfriend all met us there. The buffet was amazing, despite the kerfuffle about no breakfast food on the brunch menu (!!!!) Seriously, there was almost and uprising! London ended up feasting on mac n cheese, and was the happiest, stickiest toddler at brunch. Peyton had a love hate relationship with the Easter Bunny, but my mom was able to get a photo of the two together. Adaline slept for the majority of brunch, and woke up at the end – just in time for a few family photos!
We headed back to the house before Addy and Lo could have meltdowns. Fortunately, it was nearly 70 degrees by now, and we were able to set up the bags set and bust out some beer. Easter Sunday and patio drinking? Can’t beat that! We organized a small egg hunt for the girls in the backyard, and they had the best time, although, I think they had more fun hitting each other with their baskets before the hunt.
Crazy to think that just two Easters ago, Peyton was still an only child!! This Easter was one for the books!
