It seems like we always have some sort of house project going on. I mentioned in a previous post, that we had added some new light fixtures right before Addy was born. We are finally getting around to patching up the holes in the ceiling from where the old can lights used to be.
But, of course, David cannot let the home improvements end there! We are adding more lockers to our mudroom, since four just won’t cut it with our growing family. We are also taking advantage of the carpenters, dry wallers, and painters being here, so we are adding a header to add some separation to the living area from both the foyer and the mudroom. I like to tease Dave that he can’t handle being bored, so he makes up some house projects, and we have a month before golf league starts, so he needs something to oversee 😉
The dry wallers should finish this week, and the painters will be here ALL next week, since they have to re-roll the whole ceiling and each wall, so it doesn’t look patchy.
Which means interrupted nap times, loud noises, workers in and out who absolutely terrify London, dry wall dust on everything, and paint fumes – yay! I think we will be done with the inside of the house once these projects wrap up.
Just in time to get to work on the landscaping 😉
Ahh, more lockers!! I’m gonna miss the words down at the end of this hall, but your mudroom is still goals for me 😉
I’m happy we are covering up Dave’s words. That’s what happens when he goes rouge on Etsy!!
It really does seem like you are always doing something to the house! Crazy! Your kitchen is so bright and fresh. I love the pop of green with your tea kettle. Where is it from?
Thank you so much! And it was a wedding gift from Crate and Barrel years ago!
Can’t wait to see it finished!!
I will definitely post an update 🙂
Where do you get those beautiful vases from?
The flower vases? One is an oversized mason jar that I found at target. All the others are ones I’ve saved from flowers Dave has had delivered to me 🙂
I love this website – its so usefull and helpfull.|
Thanks for all your efforts that you have put in this.
