Saturday morning, we woke up to snow. We loaded up our crew, and headed to the Sculpture Park and Garden Museum in town. All month long, they fill this giant greenhouse with the most beautiful flowers, and thousands of butterflies. It’s humid and amazing.
We met up with our friends, and Peyton’s little boyfriend – who promises to marry her when they’re older (adorable). We ended up spending two hours there – which is A LOT longer than I thought Adaline would last! We had one altercation where London found a dead butterfly and repeatedly stomped on it, while screaming; then another when a little boy tried to take her bottle, and she shoved him. Nothing comes between London and food. Peyton was obsessed with the giant, blue butterflies. One landed on her, and I thought she would be over-the-moon excited, so I told her to hold still so I could take a picture. Instead, she started crying hysterically, while yelling that it bit her. She recovered, though!
^please notice the hand-holding 😉
^every hour, they were releasing freshly-hatched butterflies. It was so neat to watch!
^all the cocoons, Peyton was so amazed with the ones that were hatching!
^somebody slept most of the time!
^This sums these two up perfectly. London is so in love with Peyton, and Peyton is my little Chatty Cathy!
^group shot – take note of Peyton and her little boyfriend’s prom photo pose!
We headed out to lunch, where we were totally “those people” in the restaurant with a higher kid to adult ratio. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing inside, and watching Hotel Transylvania on repeat. (it’s the new Frozen)
Happy Monday!!
