When we found out we were expecting baby #3, I made the decision to do the chalkboard updates on a weekly basis. My mom never misses an opportunity to comment on how “plain” or “bare” these ones are, but I still wanted to document this pregnancy, and I just don’t have the time to get super detailed (I seriously cannot walk away without Peyton drawing on it, and London and Charlie trying to eat all the chalk). I’ve also been horrible with posting updates, so here’s a little bit of catch up:
I am currently up about 17 pounds, which is right on track with how I was with London and Peyton.
My belly button is still in, but I just don’t know how much longer that’ll last. That shit is shallow!! I carried so much higher with Peyton and Lo that it was never an issue. I didn’t even have to wear maternity pants with Peyton. Homegirl just hung out and beat up my ribcage. And I got my first ever pair of maternity pants at 35 weeks with London. This time around, I was in maternity pants around 15 weeks! It’s crazy how different each pregnancy is!
I’ve also been super mindful of my feet, since I was pre-eclamptic with Peyton. Aside from the health risks to your baby, nobody likes to be so swollen they literally can’t even stuff their foot into a Ugg boot. I’ve been rocking my prescription “sexy socks” and sometimes wearing them overnight. You’ll notice in the 25 week photo, I ditched the heels for some flats. My pregnancies always weigh worst on my feet. But I’ll take that over months of migraines and morning sickness.
I need to get a real bra. I know I’m not alone when I say: I HATE BRAS. So I live in these bralettes, and these modal bras. I’ve never needed much support, if you’re picking up what I’m throwing down. With London, my boobs grew before I was announcing my pregnancy, leaving a lot of raised eyebrows as to if I had work done. Seriously. I had to invest in bras then, and packed them away, but they’re still too huge. If anyone has a suggestion for a “real” bra, please link me below! 🙂
I haven’t had any super random cravings, other than Bottle Caps candy. (Unless you count sitting and gnawing away at a whole grain baguette as random?) When I shared that photo on Instagram, another mom commented that she also craved them! How funny is that? Fortunately, it’s Halloweentime, and I was able to buy one of those BIG bags of candy which was a mix of things, among them: Bottle Caps. I also plan on hitting up the day-after-Halloween sales for some clearance candy. No shame in my game.
It’s so fun to see movement from the outside now. This baby is quite the wiggle worm, and at our last ultrasound, the technician actually made me get up and use the bathroom, stand and roll to try to get the baby into a more visible position, but she just kept rolling and spinning. Which means I am scheduled for another ultrasound, to try to get the pictures and measurements they missed. I’m just excited to see her again!!
We have slowly been collecting things for the nursery. We picked up this wooden name sign – which, yes, means we have picked a name! I also grabbed these crib sheets and a handful of these sleepers – they were my favorite thing when Lo was a newborn! It’s crazy to believe baby girl will be here in less than 100 days!!
similar grey dress | green dress (I bought my pre-maternity size, it has good stretch!) | black heels | brown heels | canvas flats
And now, back to football Sunday!
1) you’re glowing
2) lol at your honesty! I love it!
3) love your shoes!!!!!
Thank you!! 😉
I can’t wait to see how you decorate the room!!! And your bump still looks so tiny
Ahhhh I’m so excited to decorate! It’s one of my favorite things about preparing for a new baby!
ahhhh it seems like your pregnancy is going by so fast – I am sure it doesn’t feel like that for you 😉 you look amazing though!
