Festive Favorites

I have a weird love for the Fourth of July. Something about the red, white, and blue snack possibilities make my holiday-loving heart swoon. Dave doesn’t understand. Halloween, sure. Christmas, of course. But the 4th? He just doesn’t understand 😉 Click here to see some serious 4th of July inspo! (and here for my favorite firecracker popcorn recipe!)

One of my favorite things about being a parent around a holiday is dressing the girls up in adorably festive outfits! Here is an inspiration board with some pieces we have, and some that I might need to grab before next week:

I also have a long list of patriotic snacks I plan on making. These popsicles look amazing. I also have a strange desire to make attempt to make this pie, I’ve never made a pie before, but look at how cute it is!! I also made these pudding cups last year and they were a major hit – will have to do them again! They were so good by the pool!

We will get up early and head to the parade in town, which Peyton loooooves. It’ll be Lo’s first parade, and I don’t have high hopes, especially since the sirens are just so dang loud. Dave usually goes rouge and splurges at the firework store (the day the big fireworks became legal in Michigan was like a national holiday to him!), and he will probably do his annual firework show in the front yard. White trash fabulous. And OF COURSE we will play with sparklers. They’re my jam.
