Today, I am going to share with you one of my favorite recipes, and it’s so easy – there is still time to make it before your party tomorrow!
And this is easy to change up for different holidays/events!
What you need:
1 bag of popcorn
1 cup of white baking chocolate
2 bags of strawberry poprocks
festive sprinkles
What you do:
Usually, I pop a bag of PopSecret and set that on a cookie sheet to cool, but I was in a pinch for time, so I used a bag of Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop (which is amazing – if you haven’t tried this, I insist you do!).
Let your popped popcorn cool, while you melt your baking chocolate. You can do microwave, but I prefer the stove. I feel like I have more control over the melting process, so that’s my recommendation, unless you’re crazy good with the microwave, then more power to ya!
Drizzle your completely melted white chocolate over your cooled-off popcorn, like so:
If you’re anything like me and have no control over your drizzle-speed, you’re going to want to use a spatula to separate the big clusters. Then grab your pop rocks and sprinkles, and have at it. Better yet, give the sprinkles to your toddler and let her go at it!And voila!Let it cool, break it apart, and put it in whatever bag or serving dish suits your needs! How easy is that? Seriously, the hardest part is waiting for the baking chocolate to melt.
If you want to mix it up for Valentine’s Day, add a bit of red food coloring to turn your baking chocolate pink, drizzle over your popcorn, and add fun heart sprinkles! Likewise, leave your chocolate white, and decorate with red and green sprinkles for Christmas! One recipe, so many ways!
Have a safe and fun Fourth tomorrow!!!
