Saturday marked one year since my mother-in-law’s passing. We gathered with Dave’s dad and a few very close friends at the cemetery for a few beautiful words and prayers. Peyton proved how amazing the innocence of a child is, as she saw her grandpa start to get choked up. She whispered to me, “grandpa is crying, I need to go hug him!” and proceeded to run over to him and give him the biggest hug, and even patted him on the back. Moments like this make me feel like we are doing this parenting thing right.
Afterwords, we all headed out for brunch. Brunch might be my favorite meal. London’s too, apparently, as she sat on the table and glared at everyone’s bacon. She is rebelling against car seats and high chairs – basically anything that clips her in, she views it as a solid form of torture.

We had Dave’s dad and some friends over brunch to unwind, watch hockey, and be entertained by Anna and Elsa
We woke up this morning and celebrated Easter week and London’s half birthday with a festive breakfast: Bunny pancakes!
A neighbor sent me a photo of the big bunny pancakes last week, since she knows how much I love holidays and pancakes. I have plans to make some fun egg pancakes inspired from this pin later this week! (Peyton’s plate is by Re-Play)
And a post isn’t a post without some London cheeks! Here is her six month photo:
That smile is sooo contagious! You can grab a similar option to her skirted oneise here.
We are looking at a (somewhat) warm(er) week! Hopefully we will be able to get outside and play! Enjoy your Monday!
