We’ve spent a ton of time this summer already at the pool and at the beach! At this point, we just keep a Yeti tote bag half packed in the mudroom. This makes it super easy to grab it, toss a few extra things inside my beach bag, and head out the door!
I feel like when you have kids, you can take everything and the kitchen sink to the pool or beach, but I like to think we have streamlined this process. Today, I am gonna share a peek at what’s inside my beach bag!
What’s Inside My Beach Bag
water bottle // stasher bag // detangling spray // book // pouch // yeti tote bag // towel // speaker // spray sunscreen // face mist spf // hair mist spf // lip oil with spf
Sunscreen
Obviously, I roll up to the beach or pool stocked with sunscreen. It’s the first thing I think of when I think about what’s in my beach bag. I’ve written several posts about how much I love COOLA sun protection products. You can read about the whole lineup in this blog post. But my go-to COOLA sun protection products are: the spray sunscreens, the 360 water mist face spray, the scalp and hair mist, and the new lip oil!
The Bag
I guess the most important thing in a “what’s in my beach bag” blog post is the actual beach bag, right? I’ve gone through my fair share of cutesy totes and beach bags, but with 3 kids and in my 30s, we are all about items that are going to last, can fit all the things. The Yeti Camino bags are our absolute favorite. We can store things for all 5 of us in it, and they stand up on their own, so we don’t have bags tipping over and spilling all the time. These tote bags also take a licking and keep on ticking. We can throw these in the boat, in the sand, carry them as we wade to the boat (they’re water resistant), and they get beat up by the kids and show zero wear.
This is one of the new colors this summer, and it was my Mother’s Day gift! There’s a bunch of colors available here.
I stay organized inside my tote bag with these smaller Stoney Clover Lane bags!
Snacks
With kids, you can’t really go anywhere without some snacks on hand. We often take a cooler with us to the pool, but if it’s just a tote bag day, I fill up a tall stainless steel water bottle for the girls, and pack some snacks like pretzels or fruit/veggies in our Stasher bags. These are super high-quality reusable bags. And I love the new colors!!
Towels
I am in the process of replacing all of our towels with these super thin/lightweight sand-free, quick-dry towels. We were actually so impressed with the quality at the beach, and they fit inside the bags SO much better, and take up way less space when being stored at home.
To make life even easier, I am getting everyone in the family their own color, which will make it easier for the girls to help pack the beach bag, too!
Of course, we can’t go to the pool without some fun toys for the girls! Here are a few favorites:
Happy beaching 😉
