Beach Week Prep
Is there anything worse than the first time you’re seen in sandals (pre-pedicure) after a long, rough winter? NOPE! 😉

Sun-Safe Skincare for a Beach Week
First, you HAVE to protect your skin from the sun. I talk on and on about my favorite products from COOLA in this blog post, but the essentials you need are: a good sunscreen, the after-sun lotion, a face protectant, and the scalp spray! Beach Week Recovery
Being in the sun can take A LOT out of you — and your skin! Having a solid after-sun routine is a game changer. I always like to apply COOLA’s after sun lotion after showering. It smells amazing (very fresh and herbal with a rosemary/lavender scent), and it delivers so much moisture to your skin. It works like aloe or like a lidocaine spray (though, maybe not as quickly as a lidocaine spray), to soothe skin. I hav found that applying it right after coming in/showering and then again before bed has helped me not stay red.
Typically, my skin burns, then peels, and then goes back to pale. With this lotion, I am able to save my skin, and even it out. I do still burn when I don’t properly apply (and reapply) my sunscreen, but managing the aftercare is much easier (and less painful) with this lotion!
I also just discovered this moisture mousse, and it is SO fun. First, like all Soap And Glory products, it smells amazing. This is basically a lotion in mousse form, with a cool, crackling sensation! First Aid Beauty launched their new Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream earlier this year. If that’s a lot of words, and you only caught “Eye Cream”, don’t feel bad! I had to do some reading on this one! But it is SO cool.
