American Eagle Spring Style Haul

There comes a point every year, when we are buried in snow… but I cannot stop dreaming of the beach. So I do the next best thing: stock up on some new styles for spring! Will I ever be too old to shop at American Eagle? I sure hope not. It never fails – I always find a handful of favorite pieces every year! (I know you remember that knot dress I lived in all last summer!!). I am sharing what I snagged from American Eagle in this spring style haul!

Details & Sizing

Ok, so sometimes sizing can run a little off, so I wanted to go into detail about each of the items.

Outfit 1

Camel shorts and basic white tee

These camel shorts are SO cute on. I grabbed my usual XS, and they fit fine, but a small would give them a more laidback/casual fit! For the tee, I went with a small. I wanted an oversized fit. This tee runs really big – it’s definitely a “relaxed” fit. I could have gone with an XS and still been able to tie the knot in it. If you’re looking for a basic tee you can wear untucked, consider your normal size or even sizing down on this!

Outfit 2

White shorts and basic white tee

These white shorts are the comfiest, softest shorts I have ever owned. They definitely require nude undies, but they aren’t see-through. I ordered an XS, and they fit with room. If in between sizes, I recommend sizing down! They are a little long, but I cuffed them up and love the look. I paired it with the same white tee from above, and am SO into the all white look. Top it off with a nude cardigan or a denim jacket for a statement, or add a pop of color with this fun headband!

Outfit 3

Wide leg pants and crop top

These pants are so fun! According to AE sizing, I could wear a 4 or 2, I took a gamble and went with the 4, and they are a bit too big – I am going to exchange them for the 2 because I really like them! Since they’re so high-waisted, I paired them, with a super cute smocked crop top!

Outfit 4

denim shorts and button down

I always have a hard time finding good denim shorts. They are either super low rise or your butt cheeks are hanging out. I really like the AE Tomgirl shorts, but while searching for a new pair this year, stumbled upon these Mom Shorts. I. Am. In. Love. The fit is SO perfect. I went with the 4 on these, and the fit is perfect – a little more relaxed, and not thigh-hugging. I am having a moment with mustard this season, and these stripes are so good. This button down is a relaxed fit, so I have plenty of material to knot up in this XS. It’s super lightweight and soft.

Outfit 5

wrap dress

This wrap dress is adorable on. It comes in another color, and runs true to size. I am wearing the XS. It is lightweight and flowy – I will be wearing this on repeat all Spring and Summer. How cute would it be paired with a little straw bag like this one?

Outfit 6

Knot dress

I mentioned above that I lived in AE’s knot dress last summer. I was so excited to see they had an updated version for this season. I snagged the black version in an XS, and it is SO comfy. For a more fitted look, I could easily wear the XXS, so if you are between sizes, I would suggest sizing down. Last year, I purchased the dress in an XS and XXS and preferred the XXS – bonus: it did NOT ride up throughout the day!!

I paired these outfits with a straw hat and nude sandals.
