As a mother of 3, I’ve probably tried every sippy cup and straw cup on the market. Most seep our of the straws, or leak when tilted. Almost all leak when they fall sideways. And they’re almost always a pain to take apart and wash. Have you tried to use one of those little straw brushes? I don’t have time to wash my hair that well, let alone a tiny little rubber straw. What moms need is a cup that is simplified. A no muss, no fuss toddler cup that just works. I give you: Smilo.
If you’re not familiar with Smilo, take a peek at their site here. I instantly fell in love with the bright colors and sleek, modern designs. I didn’t know it would become a committed relationship when I first filled one of their toddler cups up for Adaline. I was shocked. Without getting my glasses and a PhD, I was able to screw the lid on without water leaking everywhere. She was easily able to take a big sip. And then, when she tossed it onto the couch, I pounced to save the fabric…but it was dry.
Motherhood is full of craziness. Like, what did my kids put it in the toilet? Why are you sticky? Why is this wet? Dealing with overly complicated cups that leak shouldn’t be part of our daily routine.
With all my extra time, Addy and I are enjoying a mid-day snack outside in her new favorite snack containers from Smilo, and who knows. I might even wash my hair 😉
