We have this fun tradition of “BOO-ing” our friends! Basically, we print a little ghost poem out, and sneak up to someone’s house in the evening. We leave a few bags of treats and little toys on their porch for them and their kids! You ring the doorbell and SPRINT to your get away car before they can find you. Then, they are tasked to repeat the “Boo!” to more people. It’s a fun and festive way to treat your friends and neighbors. You can find the feee printable we use here.
This year, I wanted to skip the candy, but still keep the gift bags fun for kids.
If your kids are like mine, then they are obsessed with those blind bags of toys – and if we would let her, Peyton would watch “un-boxing” videos of them all.day.long.
I picked up a few small, festive toys (like fake vampire teeth, bubbles, and tattoos) and glow sticks from the Target Dollar Spot, along with the little treat bags. Hasbro has a great assortment of characters for their blind bags, and they made the perfect addition to our “Boo Bags”.
If I know our friends aren’t home, I go the extra mile, and add a pumpkin and a festive garland. It’s such a fun surprise to come home to. My favorite Boo that we got one year was three of those big plastic pumpkin treat buckets, filled to the brim with crafts and books for each the girls. Anything other than more sugar! They also had a few treats for David and me, with some pumpkin spice liqueur, a king size candy bar, and a coffee shop gift card!
How cute are these Littlest Pet Shop bags that come with a little ring/house for your pet!

Do you guys have a tradition similar to our Boo Bags?! I would love to hear how you trick-AND-treat your neighbors 😉
