This weekend marked our first “Fall weekend” where we were free to do all kinds of fall shenanigans, and we definitely lived it up! David was in a golf tournament Saturday, so after Peyton’s soccer game, the girls and I headed to a local farmstand. They had one of those corn kernel “sand boxes” as well as a giant slide, and a pumpkin patch. We spent the rest of the morning there, and topped our visit off with apple cinnamon donuts. Sunday, we headed to a bigger orchard, which was probably the biggest fail, since it seemed like everyone in town had the same idea as we did. We waited in line for 30 minutes for a 20 minute hayride – but it was worth it. Addy loved her first hayride, and Peyton entertained everyone on the ride with her Leaf Song and Apple Song that she made up as we went. All in all, we crossed off a few items on our Fall Bucket List! We went home with a big bag of freshly-picked apples, and the girls and I made apple crisp! Next up on our list is: caramel apples and apple muffins! Yum!
