With the most perfect summer weekend planned, comes a whole lot of packing. After nap time today, we are headed to our friends’ house for a fun, river day. Full of boating, food, laughs, and probably lots of pushing London on the swing 😉 Tomorrow, we have family in from down south. My other cousins and parents are driving up and we are going to have a fun beach day! Addy’s first beach day – YAY! I am so excited for the girls to meet their cousins – they’ve actually NEVER met! Peyton is just excited to have girls to play with!
With three girls to pack for, it can easily feel like we are packing up for a long weekend anytime we go somewhere. I’m laughing at my mom, who is currently texting me a list of what she’s bringing to the beach – she feels like she’s forgetting something. I’m like, “No, mom, you just don’t have little people to pack for!”
The beach doesn’t allow booze, so that makes the cooler a little easier to navigate!! You might remember this post earlier? Well, our cooler finally died, and may he rest in peace. I snagged a replacement on clearance, and it’s getting the job done. We will be packing the girls’ water bottles, some raspberries, cheese sticks, and lots of water for David and I. We will also be taking some crackers and fruit snacks, because when the girls hit the witching hour, we can usually hold them off by feeding them!
As far as beach toys, I’m trying to pack lightly. We have this set, and it has pretty much anything they could need. As for other items deemed essentials (and in hopes of not making 3 trips to and from the car once we get to the beach), click on the images below to see more:
And yes, totally counting the swan as an “essential” – don’t tell David 😉 Enjoy your weekend, friends!!
