My girls can be pretty picky when it comes to be mealtime. Things are always too hot or cold, or there is too much of this, and not enough of that, oh, and heaven forbid food touches each other. We tried a few different plates, once Peyton was eating “real food” at the table. Through an insane amount trial and error (including a melted plate in the dishwasher, forks that didn’t actually fork food, and sippy cups that leaked when closed), we finally discovered Re-Play… which was a total game-changer!
Re-Play dishes are made from recycled milk jugs – so you can feel great about using the line. These eco-friendly products are not only BPA, PVC, and phthalate-free, but by recycling and producing locally in the US, Re-Play also saves energy and reduces greenhouse gases. Not to mention, the plates, bowls, utensils, snack stacks, and cups all come in a variety of bright colors – making mixing and matching fun! They’re also dishwasher safe, and extremely durable. The sippy cups are one of my favorite products – they feature mind-blowing, no-spill technology that actually works!! Trust me when I say you can use this silicone valve on your sippy cup and lay it sideways in your diaper bag, and things will stay dry! Skeptical? You can sign up here to take the no-spill challenge, and get a sippy cup to try for only $4 shipped!
The Re-Play divided plates feature a main serving section, and two smaller sections – making sure food stays separate, and it makes for easy portion control! And with the latest addition of flat plates, Re-Play can join in on pizza night and cake 😉 The bowls are also great for little hands. The girls will sit on the couch during movie night, with a Re-Play bowl full of popcorn. They love to pick their own colors for each snack and meal, and Peyton loves matching her utensil color to the color of her food, so she gets some critical thinking time in, too!
Check out some of our go-to weekly meals:
My girls are big pasta and fruit lovers. So, for us, those are no-brainers at almost every meal. They aren’t the biggest veggie fans, but they’ll eat carrots, steamed broccoli or edamame if they’re paired with some favorites. London is still having an annoying allergic reaction to strawberries, so we try to keep them out of the house, since she goes nuts for them if she sees them; but every so often, I’ll sneak some into Peyton’s lunch, when London is napping 😉
The snack stacks are so great for on-the-go snacks. You can stack multiple ones on top of each other, too! The lids screw on, so you don’t have to worry about plastic bags (which let food get smooshed and contribute to more trash) or flimsy plastic lids that pop open in your cooler or diaper bag!
