Ah, another Monday that feels like a vacation for me! This weekend was a straight up whirlwind. Friday, we celebrated a good friend’s birthday (kid free, woot woot!). We woke up Saturday and headed to the pumpkin patch for a birthday party for one of Peyton’s friend’s. It was such a unique idea, and Peyton had a blast (despite the cold, mommy had fun, too). The morning was complete with donuts, a hayride, and pumpkin painting. We headed home and shit got real. We top-to-bottom cleaned the house and patio, and prepared for about 20 adults and as many kids to come tailgate and watch the big MSU-U of M game on the patio. It was chaotic but so much fun! I am in for any event with chicken chili on the menu!! MSU ended up pulling off the win in literally the last play of the game, which was amazing. Sunday wasn’t any slower, as Peyton’s social calendar is always full. We headed to yet another birthday party. The girl’s parents had pony rides and a whole petting zoo brought to the house, so Peyton was in heaven. They had pumpkins and gourds all over, so London was pretty thrilled, too. She and her little boyfriend sat on a small hill and rolled the gourds down it, and laughed as we caught them and rolled them back. Ah, to be one. Sunday ended with more chili and Sunday Night Football.
Whew. I’m exhausted just re-reading what we did this weekend. Time to play catch up and do 50 loads of laundry and grocery shop (because apparently we cannot survive on chili, according to David). Here is our weekend in photos, enjoy 🙂
