I have been gearing up for tonight since Christmas evening, when the sad realization that Christmas was over had sunk in. We are going out to a geriatric dinner with some close friends at one of our favorite dinner spots downtown (so we can still dress up and not feel completely out of touch with the world), then head home, so we can all spend New Year’s Eve as a family, with more close friends.
Fun decorations, noise makers, party hats, after dinner appetizers, and Cards Against Humanity, along with watching that cheesy Ball Drop Special should make for a fun night! And hopefully we can all make it to midnight!
I had been hoarding piece from the Oh Joy! for Target fall collection for this party. Something about the gold leave flakes on the plates and napkins just screamed “NYE!” to me! Peyton and I whipped up blue velvet cupcakes yesterday, and jazzed them up with some Meri Meri party accessories.
