Yesterday, Peyton officially graduated from Pre-School. I cannot believe how much she has grown up – and am still in disbelief at the fact that she will be riding the bus to kindergarten next year. Every time I started to get choked up, she did something goofy on stage, and it totally snapped me back from my mom tears. Fun fact: pre-school graduations are about as elaborate as pre-school holiday programs; they sang about 8 songs, had choreographed dances, and even busted out some bells for one song.
^this pose is SO Peyton, of course, wearing a sparkly, pink, tulle dress that she picked out for herself 😉
^she was too short for her solo, and said it so quickly, that no one understood her, but she was SO proud. I love this girl beyond words!!
my dress | my shoes | peyton’s dress | london’s shirt | baby carrier | addy’s bloomers | dave’s new favorite flip flops
And, since I didn’t get to cry last night, here is Peyton’s first ever day of pre-school, and her last:
Cue the waterworks.
And because we’ve added two more kids since the first photo was taken (OMG OMG OMG), my chalkboard was severely lacking in detail, so:
What do you want to be when you grow up: a teacher | favorite subject: playing in dramatic play | favorite color: purple and pink | favorite food: strawberries | favorite animal: flamingos
Today, the neighborhood is having its big End of School Bash for the kiddos, it’ll start when the big kids get off the bus in an hour – and Peyton is SO excited. Rumor has it, there will be a fire truck 😉
We made it! TGIF, friends!!
