Fall is here, and with it comes the fall season for sports. We have been living at the soccer fields with the girls. Michigan weather is wild — Saturday, for Addy’s game it was 89 degrees and super sunny. London’s game on Sunday was cold and rainy. Since we’re spending the rest of the next few months on the sidelines, I need to be prepared for whatever the weather throws at us. Here’s a roundup of my essentials for the soccer mom the fall season edition!
Soccer Mom: The Fall Season
The below items are some of my go-to items for staying warm and dry on the sidelines!
umbrella // water bottle // rain jacket // socks // rechargeable hand warmer // gloves // outdoor blanket // rain boots
Admittedly, that jacket is not the warmest, BUT it is water resistant, and I love the length. It keeps my leggings dry, for the ride home which is must. I also love the clear umbrella for a few reasons! 1) It’s clear, so you can see through it, and you’re not blocking other spectators’ views, and 2) the design makes it so the water runoff is not draining onto anyone near you! It’s a win-win.
Another pro-tip is to always take a towel for wet games! This keeps your kiddo warm after (especially if their jersey is soaking wet!!), but also protects the seats in your car! These are my favorite quick dry towels.
