LED Indoor Planter
I really want to like this, however it arrived with NO instructions. Not even how to assemble it. It wasn’t too hard to figure out, but even a picture would have been nice.
The FabFitFun catalogue contains two “basil recipes” which I assume are for when you harvest your thriving basil plant. I didn’t love that there were no tips, tricks, how-to’s, or anything. The Short Stories website also says “refer to separate assembly instructions”. I feel like this was made to be a cheaper version of the Smart Garden LED kit, but they cut a few corners. I am hopeful the seeds actually sprout, but I feel a little disappointed in this one.
BLOOMINGVILLE Seagrass Coasters
These might be my favorite item from the 2021 Spring Box! I love the contrasting woven patterns, and they feel like they will hold up and not fall apart/unravel. They have a major coastal vibe, don’t you think?
GAIAM Toning Kit
This is really fun. I am not a huge workout fanatic, so these may not be “professional trainer quality”, but they look like they’ll work great for my at-home pilates workouts! The Mini Ab Ball came with a straw to inflate it. It is 8″ and very soft. The CorePlus Reformer has 4 loops that act as lightweight resistance bands.
The FabFitFun catalogue also included 4 simple at-home exercises you can do with this toning kit!
The faux fur slippers are VERY soft and VERY comfortable. There is not a very thick sole, so if you’re the type that likes to walk outside to grab the mail or drive to school drop-off in slippers, these won’t be your favorite. I am a size 9, and the M/L fit me well.
I mentioned disliking the Cocofloss so much that I threw it away above. It left tiny fibers between my teeth (like celery strings), and I actually had to go get a thing of regluar dental floss to get the Cocofloss out of my teeth. I found the Cocofloss to be super thick, uncomfortable, and I didn’t really notice a flavor. I was all around disappointed with this item.
Thoughts on the 2021 FabFitFun Spring Box
Overall, I am happy with the box. I like that FFF is trying to be more sustainable, and have switched up their packaging. The boxes are now 100% recycled kraft materials. I also liked how the lifestyle items included were chosen with the same idea in mind. The reusable cotton rounds will take the place of cotton balls/makeup wipes. The dip dye market tote can take the place of plastic grocery bags. And, if it works, I’ll have fresh herbs, thanks to the LED indoor planter. (I’ll update this post with thoughts after I have attempted to grow something in it!)
