We finally got a taste of summer weather – and it was SO needed! Somedays, the girls just need to get outside and play! Today, I am sharing a quick roundup of some of our favorite outdoor toy picks for backyard/driveway fun!
jenga // water balloons // kite // sunscreen // hair and scalp mist // water shoe // sprinkler // bubbles // scooter // inflatable bag // goggles // chair // chalk // inflatable pool
We have purchased a pair of these Pediped water shoes for the last 3 years for the girls. They are SO comfortable, the colors are so cute, and they LAST. Guys. Summer for us is spent beachside, on the river, or playing in our backyard. Either way, the girls are almost always in and around water. These Flex shoes are more comfortable than jelly sandals and other similar styles (we tried Natives, and they gave Adaline the worst blisters ever!). These shoes also dry pretty fast, which is a bonus!
I am big into sun safety, so the girls always have sunscreen on in the summer. COOLA is all we use. I also started using this Hair and Scalp Mist on Peyton and Adaline’s heads. With Peyton’s light complexion and hair, if she doesn’t have a hat on, her head burns — and poor Addy still doesn’t have a ton of hair. A few sprays onto either of their heads and they are protected from the sun. This mist is better than spraying sunscreen on their heads because then their hair isn’t sticky and gross after! You can hop on over to this blog post to learn more about my favorite COOLA products!
We bought these chairs 4 years ago, and I know it’s not technically a toy, BUT they make out list of outdoor toy picks! it’s hilarious to see how much use they’ve gotten! I think I found them for $6 at Walmart, so you may be lucky to find them a little cheaper in store vs online. The girls pull these chairs out nonstop, and put on cute shows in the driveway, or sit around the bonfire 🙂
We are HUGE fans of Bling2o. The girls have been rocking their goggles for the last few summers! Last year, they launched a few new products, like this inflatable tote bag and fun sprinkler! SO CUTE.
Another favorite outdoor toy year-after-year are our Micro Kickboard scooters! The girls will scoot around the driveway for HOURS. Let me say that again: HOURS. I also love how these scooters are not covered in characters, and they aren’t just hot pink for girls (granted, they do have hot pink, and we totally own a pink one, but London is SO not a pink girl – she picked that pretty mint color for herself!)
Here’s another post, all about these scooters!
