I have vacation time on my mind! Can you tell? We have about a month until our Spring Break getaway, and I am counting down the days — and stocking up on vacation essentials. Today, I am rounding up my favorite Amazon finds for Spring Break!
charging bank // jewelry organizer // swimsuit // stainless steel water bottle // pouch (not from amazon) // travel containers // packing cubes // air pods case cover
In my suitcase
I swear by packing cubes, so that’s how we are kicking off my Amazon finds for Spring Break with! I ordered a few of these packing cube sets before Spring Break last year. These are a fraction of the price of Calpak. The quality is not the same as the Calpak cubes, and the zippers do feel a little flimsy HOWEVER. They get the job done. I like to pack for each family member in a different color/pattern of packing cube, so getting dressed is easier! You can get 4 sets of these for one set of the Calpak ones!
I like the different sizes they come in (the little pouch is great for undies, and the bigger one with the hook is great for fitting 3 pairs of shoes for the girls! Some of ours came with “Laundry” written on them, and some had “top secret” written on them, lol.
We are going away for just over a week, and Dave is convinced we can fit everything into 2 checked bags. PANIC MODE: ON. Shampoo/conditioner and body lotion and body wash take up a TON of space. I ordered these squeeze bottles from Amazon, and they have amazing reviews. They are leak-poof, and TSA-approved. Plus, how adorable are they?! I love the colors. I plan on still bagging them, but will report back after our flight to let you know if they exploded/leaked, but based on reviews, I don’t anticipate it! I also snagged the spray bottle version, too!
There is nothing worse than getting to your destination, to find all your necklaces are a giant ball of tangled mess. I used this travel case a handful of times last year and loved it! It fit jewelry for me and the girls. I love that it has a designated spot for every kind of jewelry, and is soft, so it packs easily!
Not necessarily a “packing” essential, but this one piece swimsuit is under $10, and has amazing reviews. It’s available in a few colors, but I love this blushy neutral polka dot color!
In my carry-on
I usually take a big tote-style purse for my carry-on bag. It’s roomy, and I can easily stuff extra things in (like a sun hat or a denim jacket). I usually have a smaller, crossbody bag stashed inside with my keys/wallet/etc, and this tote acts as a catch-all.
I panic when my phone battery gets below 20%, so I always take a portable charger when we travel! I got this one for myself for Christmas, and LOVE it. The cord folds in and snaps into the charger, so I am never digging around for a cord. Once charged, I can charge my phone at least twice on it! Literally, this is the best power bank I have ever tried, and it’s $30! Considering this one of my top Amazon finds for Spring Break!!
To stay organized in my big tote, I like to pack a pouch or two. One contains all my cords, plugs, adaptors, and my portable charger. I’ll pack another with toiletries (like: hand sanitizer, lotion, chapstick, an eye mask, etc). I found this cute little woven pouch with planes on it on Amazon for Shopbop, but it’s only available now on Shopbop’s site!
I also learned a fun travel hack! Pack an empty stainless steel water bottle, and once you’re through security, you can go to one of the restaurants in the terminal, and ask for them to fill it with ice water. You can also ask Starbucks for hot water (it’s free!), and add your own tea bag from home! Maybe that’s common knowledge, but my mind was blown!
You can find some other things I am loving for Spring Break in this post!
