When you think of Paris, you immediately think of the Eiffel Tower. We spent a few days in Paris, and you better believe I made it my mission to find the 4 best Eiffel Tower photo spots!
If you’ve ever been to Paris and walked up to the Eiffel Tower, photo-ready, you’ll realize a few things. 1) it’s too tall to fit in your photo with you when you’re standing right next to it. 2) There’s a glass wall all the way around it. And 3) there’s A TON of people and vendors there. Good luck taking a photo there.
Believe me, we tried:

While we only spent a few days in France, and there’s certainly those who are experts, one thing I do know is a good photo spot. I did ZERO research going into Paris for photo-ops. Dave and I spent one day wandering the city on foot (literally from sun up to well into the night), and happened upon some breath-taking views of the Eiffel Tower. Here are my favorite Eiffel Tower photo spots.
Trocadéro
The Trocadéro is located across the Seine River from the Eiffel Tower. It’s the site of Palais de Chaillot, and the grounds are gorgeous. There are ponds, gardens, and fountains. You can sit on the grand staircase and take in the Tower at sunset. See the location here.
We did the majority of our Get Your Guide photoshoot at this location – and it was perfect with golden hour!

Pro tip: arrive around 6am to beat the tourist rush and get photos without chaos behind you. Though, we did our photoshoot here in the evening, and the views were amazing and the people generally gave us space. Keep in mind: there were A LOT of photographers, tiktokers, and bridal parties here when we went.

Rue de l’Université
Definitely my favorite out of these 4 Eiffel Tower photo spots is Rue de l’Université. It has so much Parisian charm with the cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture, and it’s on the same side of the river as the Tower, so you can capture it in all its glory! Warning: there were SO many people here, and it was pointless to even try to dodge people or wait (more would just come haha). So we embraced it. These are some of my favorite photos from Paris!!

We stumbled upon this little cul-de-sac on complete accident. We were wandering back toward the hotel after going across the river for lunch/shopping. We found it later on a map, because I forgot to look at the street name, and it isn’t easy to find!! We followed Rue de l’Université to where it met Avenue de la Bourdonnais. It continues on in a little dead-end/cul-de-sac. Here is the exact location. You’ll see the people gathered though 😉
Port Debilly
I have to credit our Get Your Guide photographer with Port Debilly. If you leave the Eiffel Tower and cross Pont d’Iéna, and take an immediate left, you’ll see a walkway along the Seine River. (before Av. de New York!!). You’ll have to dodge runners, bikers, and tourists… but it’s worth it!

Jardin de la Tour Eiffel
You’re probably thinking this one is a no-brainer. That’s why I saved it for last!!! The Jardin de la Tour Eiffel are the gardens/park space right in front of the Eiffel Tower. During the day, these grounds were covered with people enjoying lunch picnics, live music, and children playing.

At night, we nearly had the park to ourselves, and had the most stunning views of the Eiffel Tower sparkling! The Jardin de la Tour Eiffel definitely makes the list of best Eiffel Tower photo spots!

Paris is so photogenic, and the Eiffel Tower is iconic. Any view of the tower will steal your breath away the first time you see it!
