For the Kids Who Love to Play
Here is a round up of the season’s hottest toys!
With the new Descendants movie out, it’s a no brainer that if you have an elementary-aged daughter, she’s going to love anything Descendants-related! I found this cute Uma doll, but also have my eye on Audrey’s Diary for Peyton, and Evie’s necklace for London!
Another super popular toy this season is going to be ANYTHING Frozen II themed! Hasbro has a ton of fun goodies, like this singing Elsa doll. I also love these Anna and Elsa dolls with new sidekicks from the new movie!
For the 3rd year in a row, LOL Surprise is at the top of my girls’s wishlist! I was SO excited to snag the new Amazing Surprise on Amazon (with Prime shipping – and no need to wait outside of Target or pay three times retail on ebay for it! hah!) You can shop it here! You can also add in a furniture set, like this one, for more imaginative play!
Here are some more top LOL Surprise picks for the kids:
Rizmo is the cutest new toy this holiday season! He is an interactive plush toy. He evolves from a baby all the way up to a full-grown Rizmo as you play with him! So fun!
We had one of the original Scruff-a-Luvs a few years back, but how cool is this Little Live Scruff-A-Luv?! After you “rescue”, wash, and dry your new pet, you’ll discover 30+ lifelike sounds and interactions including shivering, whimpering, happy sounds, feeding, hiccups and a heartbeat!
Peyton will be able to keep up with the boys next door with her new Nerf Alpha Strike!
Personalized Gifts for Kids
Because all moms know, if you like it, then you should have put their name on it! haha
We love shopping at Stuck On You for personalized products! The girls have been using the SOY Bento Boxes the last few years. I love how they keep food separated without having to use plastic bags, and they’re super easy to clean! I let the girls personalize their Mini Fun Bento Boxes to start the school year off, and I’m also gifting them another for Christmas. It’s really a gift for me — less dishes to wash, haha!
Stuck On You also offers cute stationary options! I picked up a cute sketchbook for the girls, since they like to doodle while they ride the bus!
How fun is this glitter letter necklace? Addy loves “light pink”, so this is going to be perfect for her to find in her stocking on Christmas morning!
The Gift of Games
I love games for a gift, since we are in hibernation mode on winter break!
This Unicorn Game is sure to be a winning gift for any little girl! It’s ages 4+, so it’s perfect for the girls to play solo or as a family!
I have a feeling we are going to play this Silly Faces game all break! I like to gift a few family board games to us all from Santa! It’s a fun way to “have” to make time for family game night! The peel and stick pieces are reusable, and there is no cutting, no glue – basically: no mess. It is recommended for ages 3+ and for 2-6 players, making it the perfect family game!
This Ansty Pants Tic Tac Toe set is really fun! It’s an unexpected gift that the kids will love! And this Gaming Cube is perfect for any puzzle-lover. It comes in a 2 pack, so you can gift one and keep one – or gift them both!
Shoes for the Kids
Another practical gift ๐ The girls have been wearing Pediped shoes for years – they last forever, are super cute, and come at a great price point! I picked up these cute sneakers for London. She is SUPER picky when it comes to shoes, but she loves the fit and style of the Pediped Dani! For Peyton and Addy, I picked up these cute boots. I’m tempted to gift them early, so the girls can rock them all season!!
Creative Gifts
I love STEM projects, and gifts that get the creative juices flowing!
This STEM At Play YUM! Candy Making set is adorable! It looks like a blast, too! Kiddos can create tasty candy and learn through science experiments!
I found these fun, personalized crayons on Etsy and fell in love! These crayons arrived wrapped so beautifully, that you wouldn’t even need to wrap them, and they can just be slid inside a stocking!
We LOVE the Antsy Pants building sets, but how cute is this little unicorn set?! Peyton is going to flip! She loves constructing cafes and vehicles, but this Unicorn is going to blow her mind!
This marble run is a bit of a splurge, but hear me out! I envision a cold, snowy day trapped inside during Winter Break. It’s 9am, and the kids are already playing the “I’m so bored!” game. I pull this marble run out. The girls build all day, and finally are ready to show off their marble run. The family cheers, and everyone is happy and together. Hey, a mom can dream!
Another fun and creative gift option is this loog guitar!
Specifically made for little hands, this loog guitar is great for beginners! This thing is SO cool! It is made of real wood – it’s not a toy, it’s a real guitar. The ideal first guitar, as mentioned above, with a 3-string award-winning design approved by educators. It also includes flashcards with chord diagrams, and full access to the Loog Guitar app (iOS and Android)!
You might have caught my blog post Friday with The Beginner’s Bible Gift Edition! From the classic stories to the beautiful gold foil-decorated cover, this is the perfect gift that will be cherished for years to come! You can shop it here!
