What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Spring Break is just around the corner!! I am that crazy person who LOVES to pack for trips. I have a handful of tried and true favorites when it comes to packing my travel makeup bag, and I am so excited to share them with you today!

Ok, let’s start off by talking about my makeup bag! It’s from Ju Ju Be! Not only is it the perfect size to fit everything I need for a week, but it’s washable!! Meaning, when/if something explodes inside, I don’t have to stress! Also, how cute is the print?!

And now – into what is inside!! I thought it would be easiest to break my travel makeup bag up by categories, otherwise it’ll be pretty overwhelming.

Hair

Blonde hair is high-maintenance, so I always make sure I have my Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil! I use this as a primer, and again (if needed) as a refresher.

I love Evo hair products. Around Christmastime, you can score deals on gift gets that come with travel sizes. I always stash those away, and use them for travel! Another option is saving shampoo and conditioner samples you get with Sephora orders – and using those for travel! They take up WAY less space than bottles.

You know I love Orlando Pita Play! This Mini Trio Set contains my absolute faves. You get a mini bottle of Former Glory, Climate Change or Max Capacity. Former Glory is awesome. I spritz it in my hair when I am washing it, and it’s like a little miracle spray! It’s awesome to have in your arsenal, especially when you’ve been in the sun, wind, and salty water all day!!

I love this Alterna Resort Sea Touseled Salt Spray. This doesn’t make my hair crunchy, like other salt sprays can, and it helps tame frizz, so my beach waves stay perfectly wavy!

Skincare

Vacation doesn’t mean I can slack off on my skincare routine! I love keeping these Clean AF face wipes in my purse, they’re amazing for daily use, but especially when you’ve spent a day traveling! They are great for freshening your face on-the-go!

For my cleanser, First Aid Beauty’s Cleanser is my go-to, and I never go anywhere without my Facial Radiance Pads!

Pixi Beauty’s Glow Tonic is amazing for keeping my complexion clear, especially when I am spending a ton of time outside in the sun.

Volition Beauty’s Strawberry C Serum and Helix Eye Gels are great for added hydration, and keeping my face feeling fresh. Pro-tip: keep your Helix Eye Gel in the fridge, and apply it at night. It will feel SO cool and refreshing on your skin.

Masks

I love a good mask! Patchology’s Resting Beach Face mask kit is amazing, The kit includes 2 Lip Gels (which have an opening, so you can keep on sipping your marg while you hydrate!!) and 2 Soothing sheet masks, which feel amazing after a day in the wind and sun!

Sephora also makes an amazing After Sun mask. It feels AMAZING on your face, smells like watermelon, and helps extend your sun-kissed glow. What more could you ask for?

This Jetset Go mask is great for a long day in the car or in-flight!

Makeup

And now, to the fun part: makeup! My go-to primer for a day outside is the Hello FAB primer. It works as a moisturizer and a primer. I also love Volition’s Prismatic Luminizing Shield SPF 50! This is my FAVORITE facial sunscreen. It goes on like a primer, so you can wear makeup over it, or wear it solo. It doesn’t pill on your face like other facial sunscreens can when you sweat, and it delivers a subtle shimmer!

First Aid Beauty’s Skin Tint is amazing. It’s a tinted moisturizer – but it also protects against sun damage AND pollution!

This Pixi Beauty palette is SO good. When you’re packing, it helps to save space in your travel makeup bag. I find this palette has a color for every look – a soft, daytime look, or a smokey, evening look! In a pinch, these colors can double as a bronzer and highligher!!

How cool are these eye makeup remover sticks? You don’t have to worry about your eye makeup remover leaking in your bag and making everything all oily! To use, simply crack one end of the stick, and the liquid will rush to the other end, moisten the swab, and BAM! You’ve got eye makeup remover! Mind = Blown. I always keep these in my travel makeup bag!

I love this setting spray for beach weeks. It’s a setting spray that also works as a refreshing spray! The travel size is more than enough for a week-long trip.
