Sweater Weather

The first day of fall is just around the corner, and it’s my absolute favorite season. From pretty, crunchy leaves, to pumpkins, to the fashion – it’s perfect in every way. I generally hibernate in our cold Michigan winters, and summer is too humid to put effort into your outfit, and spring is just so wet – leaving fall the PERFECT season to dress to impress. Layering. Ankle boots. Scarves. I just love it all.

Today, I am sharing some fall mama style in a bit of a different way! I am rounding up a few of my recent purchases, and sharing them with you. similar chunky cardi | grey fedora | olive open heels | navy fedora | plaid top | check dress | black skinny jeans | olive peplum top | perfume | dainty necklace | scarf | bell sleeve dress

My go to fall outfit is a pair of skinny jeans, a basic top or tank (love this one), paired with a cardigan and/or a scarf with ankle boots. Just add a pumpkin chai latte, and you’re fall uniform is all set!

I think it’s fairly obvious from this photo that I am crushing on olive tones for this season! I think they compliment most skin tones, and are a bit more unexpected than the traditional buffalo plaid, mustard, and burgundy that are fall favorites for everybody!

I snagged that bell sleeve dress during the Nordstrom Sale, and can’t wait to pair with with nude strappy heels and a delicate necklace OR with a chunky scarf and neutral ankle boots! I picked my new favorite necklace up from this killer local boutique (which also has an online shop), but I am crushing on this and this one, too!

I think a nice pair of black skinny jeans is a needed investment for fall, but also don’t discount a dark wash skinny! I am also loving that flares are coming back in style (since I never quit them!), and I snagged a few pair of these! (pro tip: pair flares with a pointed flat and a white tee with a scarf for an easy fall look!)
