David and I did our date night dinner on Friday with Adaline. She slept through the actual eating portion, and woke up in time for dessert. She was in a great mood, and didn’t mind hoards of our friends at the club oohing and ahhing over her. We also managed to avoid everyone’s favorite game of “pass the baby”. Yay!
Saturday, we hibernated. Windchill was in the negatives. If it’s going to be this cold, where is our snow?! It’s seriously the weirdest winter. I was surprised early in the morning with a gorgeous flower delivery. Dave is always good about this. He gets flowers for me, then balloons for the girls 🙂 We watched romantic comedies all day, and once all three girls were asleep, we popped a bottle of champagne.
Sunday, I surprised the girls with their envelopes filled with all kinds of goodies. You can see what I got them in this post. That occupied them long enough for me to make a festive breakfast. Peyton made everyone a zillion homemade cards, and we all enjoyed lots of baby snuggles (and only a little spit-up). After dinner, we made V-day s’mores (graham cracker goldfish, festive M&M’s, and marshmallows), and watched the girls’ new favorite movie, Hotel Transylvania. It’s the new Frozen in our house.
^look at those chubby toes on the table 🙂
^I had to include this one! It’s her “I’m tired” move lol
^And Adaline is officially 2 weeks old! Which is crazy, because wasn’t she born yesterday???
It wasn’t the most action-packed weekend, but we got to spend it together. Despite the numbers of diapers I had to change, our first Valentine’s Day as a family of five is going to be one of my most memorable.
