At nearly 36 weeks pregnant, I’ve gotten this surge of decorative energy. Maybe it’s nesting?? We are nearly finished with the nursery, and I am so excited to share photos with you all when it’s done! This past weekend, we (mostly me) began an overhaul of the playroom.
We got the girls the doll beds as a prep-gift for the new baby. I felt horrible just imagining London wanting to be held, but my arms being full of newborn. My solution was to get her a little doll bed for her new doll from grandma..so that when I am busy with the new baby, she can be little mama to her baby! So far, she is obsessed!
Peyton has been asking and asking for a chalkboard like mine for months now, so this was the best surprise ever for her! (it was supposed to arrive for Christmas, but shipping was a huge failure, and this poor chalkboard ended up getting re-routed twice before making its way to us! Nevertheless, the girls are ecstatic!)
However, with art table being in the play room, we had literally zero space for the girls to, well, play. We had long since booted all the google eyes, glitter glue, beads, scissors, etc. from art table, on account of London liked to crawl onto the table and attempt to eat all the art things, so the art table wasn’t really being utilized as well as it could be. Plus, it’s so damn big. I used my pregnant hulk strength to drag the table into Peyton’s room, where she can use her new spirograph and scented markers to her little heart’s content – all safely away from London, The Eater of Art Things.
Here are some photos, with sources linked at the bottom.

She’s become a toddler overnight!
I looooove those beds! I wish I hadn’t missed out when Land of Nod had them! So gorgeous!
I’m a little sad they don’t match, but then my mom told me she had kept my old yellow one! Close enough 😉
This is such a fun area for kiddos! you can tell they can play and have fun in there!
You have the best spaces in your home for kids, jenna!
