I am so excited to start a new series this holiday season, called Festive Favorites. In each post, I will highlight some of our favorite traditions and goodies for the Christmas season! Today, the focus is on our favorite Christmas/winter books!
I purchased a nicely sized woven basket (like this one), that is easy for the girls to get into, yet isn’t an eye-sore in our main living space, to keep our holiday books in, since we have so many. Here are some of our favorites:
Jingle Bugs (and the Twelve Bugs of Christmas) | The Christmas Tree That Grew | Dream Snow | Snowmen at Christmas | The Littlest Elf | Olive, the Other Reindeer | The Sweet Smell of Christmas
The Bugs books are pop ups, and might be London’s favorite thing EVER. Peyton is pretty obsessed with the Sweet Smell of Christmas, since it’s a scratch and sniff book. Her mind was BLOWN the first time we read it together.
My personal favorite is The Christmas Tree That Grew. This is actually my book from when I was little, and I am so happy to see the girls’ little hands turn the pages.
A few of our other favorite holiday books are A Christmas Carol (from the Baby Lit series), The Gift of the Magi, and of course, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Do you have a favorite that I missed? Let me know!! We love adding new books to our little library. Happy reading!!
We love Jingle bugs!! The same author did a book called snow bugs, it’s fun all winter! 😉
Oh thanks!! Definitely looking into it!
I needed this! We have a few classics like the night before Christmas and the grinch, but I love all the new ones!
Enjoy!!! 🙂
We have a few of these books, and are excited to add some new ones!
Happy reading!
