Happy Saturday! After a busy AYSO morning, this preggo mommy is sitting with her feet up, in an attempt to recover from yesterday’s whirlwind Chicago visit. We got up and ready, and were out the door on time…when Dave realized he had left his car outside the night before…in the rain. After about 5 minutes of attempting to towel-dry the seats, it was pretty obvious we would not be taking the Jeep to Chicago. So, 10ย minutes later, we had the stroller and diaper bag/cooler switched, and the girls in my car, and were finally heading out. Talk about an eventful morning!
We got to the city at 11am local time, and headed right to the SkyDeck at Willis Tower. I had purchased Fast Pass tickets prior to going and highly recommend it. We got to skip the line in security. Three cheers for line jumping! We opted to not take the stroller in, which was a great idea, since they crammed about 40 people into a standard-sized elevator to get to the top. London proceeded to pet the girl in front of us repeatedly, and made it supper awkward.
Dave has a SERIOUS fear of heights, and made it about 30 seconds on the overhang of the SkyDeck before he needed to walk away. London didn’t fare too much better, and cried unless I held her. Peyton, however, was one brave chicky! She was watching some hipsters in front of us take a mini photoshoot, and she wanted to re-inact all their photos, which was the cutest thing ever. (You can see some below!)
Then we headed to The Bean at Millennium Park, got lunch, hit a few stores (hello, Disney store!), and then headed back to the car, and to Navy Pier. We ended up leaving around 5, and got into the parking ramp just minutes before it started pouring rain. Here are a few photos of our day trip:

London was such a little trooper, and P did so well with all the walking (despite getting a blister because she is 4 and hates socks…nothing a pair of ghetto socks purchased at Walgreens can’t solve – she is now calling them her boo-boo socks, and “saving them for when she falls off her bike”).
And with that, nap time is over!
How far along are you now? You’re tiny! Looks like such s fun day! I wish we lived close enough to Chicago!! We have gone once but it nearly an 8 hour drive!!!
20 weeks! ๐ thank you!!! Chicago is such a fun city – we are about a 3 hour drive away, so it’s still a trip for us!
More managabake with little ones for sure! And we could never do a day trip! Forever envious!
