Beauty and Skincare from the Sephora Sale
I shared a bit about First Aid Beauty in this blog post earlier this week! Perfect timing to stock up on favorites. It’s also a great opportunity to snag a new product at a discounted rate to try out! In the summer, I use the Coconut Skin Smoothie Primer by itself. I wouldn’t call it “tinted” but it does have a bit of tint, and it’s SO creamy/hydrating.
When I need to get a little more done-up, it cosmetics’ cc cream is my GO TO. This stuff will give you flawless coverage, without getting cakey/dry! I was “influenced” to try this, after hearing so many beauty bloggers rave about it — and, guys, the hype is real!
I recently discovered these fun Too Faced lipglosses. They aren’t sticky, which is a bonus, and they are really iridescent (without looking cheap!). They are SO fun, and come in a ton of different shades.
Hair Picks from the Sephora Sale
Kerastase is one of my go-to haircare brands. Let me put it this way: I have never been unsatisfied with any product I have used from them. Sure, they’re a little pricey. But it’s what they use at my hair salon, and I fully believe in investing in your hair!
I use this hair oil to seal my ends/keep things smooth. A little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts me a loooong time. I ordered this mask, it’s brand new, so I haven’t tried it yet – but I will be back with an update once it arrives.
T3 hair tools are basically gifts from the gods. I think we can all agree on that. Again, yes, they’re pricey. But we just agreed it was okay to splurge on your hair. These tools can get very hot, so protect your hair with a good heat protector (I use this one), and use on a low heat setting. I use the interchangeable barrels, and curl my hair with the 1″ barrel, or straighten it with this straightener.Β I talk a bit more about T3 in this blog post, but it’s definitely a good time to purchase if you’ve been on the fence, since they’re included in the Sephora Sale!
Also, if you’re struggling with post-partum hair loss/genera breakage/unhappy scalp, I SWEAR by this serum. I started using it after I had Adaline, and my hair was legit falling out by the handful, and I had so much breakage, and after about a month of consistent usage, I noticed results. It IS expensive, but I was willing to try anything. One bottle lasted about 6 months, using after I showered/before I dried my hair.
When I am trying to maximize time between washing my hair, I use this dry shampoo. I have tried a ton of different brands, but always come back to Amika. The smell is amazing without being super overpowering. When used correctly (shaken well, and sprayed away from the head into the scalp, and then massaged in, I never have a residue. Pro tip: style your hair THEN add the dry shampoo. Dry shampoo works by drying your hair out (absorbing the oils), so if you spray it THEN use hot tools, you will be damaging your hair since it’s so dried out!
Another fave are these silk hair scrunchies. I love using them when I am washing my face, doing a mask, or working out! They don’t leave a big bump and never rip my hair out!
